The Summit System from FPS is a Microsoft Windows product. Performance improves with additional machine speed and with increased memory. The requirements stated herein are for new installations. Current customers must meet the software requirements - hardware will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

WORKSTATIONS CONNECTING TO SERVER:

	Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows XP Professional Please note that Summit cannot be installed on XP Home, media or tablet editions.
	Internet Explorer 6 or higher is required for installation.
	Microsoft Office 2000 SP3, XP or 2003 on all workstations All workstations MUST have the same version of Office.* Student Teacher Edition not supported
	PC Anywhere 10.5 or Remote Desktop installed and configured for remote access.

	Chipset - Intel Pentium 4, 1.5GHz or higher minimum. Please note that Intel Celeron, P3, AMD Duron or unlisted chips are not supported for the installation of Summit.

	Hard-drive – 20GB or larger with at least 3GB of free space.

NOTE: Terminal Server and server connections greater than 20 require special attention.

**FPS is not responsible for the backing up of your data. Please be advised that some form of data-backup and/or redundancy is required. Please contact our IT Department regarding backup questions.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY

Miscellaneous: Wireless networks, laptops, Windows NT systems, non Windows platforms and Dot Matrix printers are not supported with the use of Summit. To insure data integrity and system performance; servers with additional SQL software programs such as MS Exchange, SharePoint or Web/Intranet servers will not be upgraded or installed. Please note that most SQL Backup software and escrow/ real estate software can be run on the same server as Summit. However, must be installed after Summit is installed.
